Graphic + Information Design
Communication is the act of transferring information from one place, person or group to another. Written communication is one form of communication and should be clear, concise, easy to read and provide the necessary information to allow a user to understand the information presented and, if necessary, to take action.
As a designer, I have worked on many formats of visual communication ranging from on products graphics to business cards to signage to instructions for use to cover art for CDs to brochures and beyond. I also enjoy drafting content and writing. Once the content is defined, there are best practices to design and create informative printed pieces to effectively communicate what you are trying to say.
Set up IFU for Baxter
Working with the team at Rethink Robotics, I helped to develop a series of user guides. I was responsible for illustrations, content and refinement to the graphic design layout.
Apparel Design
As a brand extension, I worked on several iterations of CompRacing’s team kits. A range of concepts were developed and refined and when a selection was finalized, the artworks for vendors were created.
CD Cover Art
When a recording artist releases a CD, it is a personal and expressive brand statement about their identity and the music they have created. Graphic design brings this statement to life.
When Madigan recorded all the tracks to her first CD, she was looking for a cover art designed for print. We worked together to define the branding and message she wanted to convey and I worked up some concepts to review with her. Simple Tri-fold Brochure
When StoneFire Outdoor Living first opened their doors, they needed a quick tri-fold brochure to explain their process to customers and talk about their business offerings. Simple graphics and photos and an affordable format got them up and running fast.
Logos
Logos are another form of brand identity and expression. This is the logo for Comprehensive Racing, a cycling and triathlon team located in Salem MA. I worked with their black and orange color palette and developed this mark to be used on their website, printed materials and team apparel.
Brochure Design + Signage
As businesses grow, so do their communication needs. I have been proud to be partnered with StoneFire Outdoor Living to design their branding, messaging and printed promotional needs.
